Square Newel Post Flat Caps

These 30mm thick Flat Newel Post Caps are designed to fit onto our range of 70mm, 82mm and 90mm Complete Newel Posts and Newel Turnings. All our Flat Caps are rebated on the underside to fit over any new or existing Newel Post with a flat top. 

All caps are supplied ready for you to apply your chosen finish unless otherwise specified.

Choose from the following timbers

• Scandinavian Pine – Softwood. A yellowish wood with knots and natural character. All knots are sound and live. Suitable for staining, varnishing or painting
• White Primed – Timber core with high grade primer applied ready for top coat of paint (please contact us direct for prices)
• Hemlock (please contact us direct for prices)
• White Oak – Hardwood. Light brown clear timber with very small knot if any. Will turn golden brown when finishing in either oil, wax, stain or varnish.

Newel Post Cap Dimensions

Our Flat Newel Post Caps are available in the following sizes. Please select your required size:

• 70mm Full Flat Cap measures 96mm x 96mm. 70mm Half Flat Cap measures 96mm x 46mm
• 82mm Full Flat Cap measures 112mm x 112mm. 82mm Half Flat Cap measures 112mm x 52mm
• 90mm Flat Cap measures 125mm x 125mm. 90mm Half Flat Cap measures 125mm x 56mm
• 90mm Flat Cap also comes in a Double Newel Cap which has been rebated on the underside to fit a Double Newel Post 180mm x 90mm.

Our Newel Posts do not come with Newel Caps unless specified. Choose the style of cap you like to finish the post off.

Fitting Newel Post Caps 

We recommend fixing with a hard setting adhesive or suitable wood glue.
