Did you know the maximum spacing between stair spindles must not allow a 100mm sphere to pass between them? We get asked this question quite a bit and sometimes forget that not everyone knows the basic things to do with stair part specification.
The 100mm sphere is representative of a baby’s head, if a baby can pass its head between the stair spindles then it’s entire body could fall through the gap and down the stairs.
